We live in the 21st century, so knowledge of other language is extremly important. Another reazon why the English language is important to me is that: ,, I live in U.S. where the main language is English.” My life is much easier sience I started learning the language with LVVS and my esteemed teacher Jo-Ann. With my hard work I’m making great progress. Later, on once my English get better, I would like to attend and finish to college. The first day when I came to the U.S. I didn’t know how to order my meal. I cried. That day I realized the importance of English. I was pleasantly surprised that the U.S. has a lot of good people, who want to help. Many people are also kind and patient although sometimes I say something wrong and it sounds funny. A few months ago I asked a sales assistant if he could find the price of one pair of shoes. The salesman asked me:,,Where the shoes were?” I answered:,, On this roof, sir.” When I heard what I said, I knew that I was wrong. Instead of shelves I said the roof. Now I can talk about many topics with my teacher. Now I’m going alone to the dentist. That makes me happy, because a few months ago I couldn’t do that. Last week I went for my physical, and I didn’t need any help. Few months ago if I wanted something to say and I didn’t know how, I give up. Now I know more words. It’s easier for me to explain something and I will not give up easily. I would like to say thank you to LVVS and their volunteers for their help, generosity and precious time.
