In the United States of America you have to have a good knowledge of the English. In my personal opinion if you want: prosperity, security, recognition, tranquility and personal growth, you need to Learn as Much as you can, I would say we need to Learn English Language down to smallest detail. As parents we need to do, the shopping, help our children with their homework or even talk to a policeman.

     knowing English also gives me some recognition as a person who is bilingual and smart enough to speak two Languages. knowing a second Language also gives me the opportunity to have a better quality of life by having the option of better pay in different fields of work.

     The English Language is so important in just everyday Life, paying bills, understanding documents and even ordering luch. Learning the Language is not enough, it is important to learn the customs, the cultures, the holidays and the General history of the United States. To be able to answer the questions on the Citizen test alone was a huge accomplishment for me. None of what I have today would have been possible without the help and generosity of the people from the Literacy program. I am very proud to tell to everyone that I Learned to speak and write through the generosity and the willingness of the people program. I hope someday that I will be on the other side of the table one day teaching someone who has just arrived in this country, so I can give back some of what I received.
