My name is Ismael Vega. I came in from Perú, five years ago before come into the U.S.A. I was working in a Bank in my native place, before work in the bank, I get a degree in the University like Economics. In that time my English speaking was no bad, well but I was not really good. In the same way my reading was no good but better than my speaking and my listening... I don’t have words to expres how bad was my listening. Many times I used to translate the economic magazines from English to spanish with the computer, It was really hard. But always I had on my mind the Idea to learn English. One time Ago when I had having a meting with my friends and having everything ready to come in to the U.S.A. a friend told me: “Ismael better learn English in the U.S.A. with native people, because that will open the doors in that Big Country” and that what I doing. When I arrived to the U.S.A. with my family, I came with the strong Idea to improve my knoledge learning English. Remining “ The language open doors”. The first time was a little hard, but I helped myself with a small thesaurrus. At the Second year I met Mrs Judy levesque from the literacy and Volunter in my actual job. I never had other teacher here before. And more than she teach me, she helped me and she is helping me to know more about this important language. My teacher is very patient and we have very long conversations many times, these sesions enrich my speaking and my vocabulary and that makes me take a decision to start to study in the college. In the process trough the sesions with Mrs. Judy of the Literacy and Volunter I feel the growing up of my knowledge in the english language that is helpfull to keep going in my dayli life. Now I can speak, listen and read better than before come in the U.S.A. and I can Understand books with technics language those I didn’t Understand before. It is help me and I can help my family
