“Something Good That Has Happened to Me”
When I saw this topic I asked myself is there Something Good That Has Happened to me? It seemed I didn’t know. I realized that if I don’t know, do I live a positive energy or negative energy life? I have looked at my life in a negative way. For example, I worry about my teenage daughter. I wish my husband would appreciate me more. I wish I could speak the English language more smoothly. I worry about all the world. In a positive way my daughter does well at school. My husband is working very hard for the family. My English is coming along. I try my best. I try to change myself to be a better person and prepare for any opportunity to help. I have my favorite movie that I watch every year at Christmas time. It’s called A Wonderful Life. The main character is a good, gentle, kind, honest man. He works so hard and put so much effort into his life but everything went wrong. He became angry and upset. He hates his life. One day he jumped into the river. An angel saved him but he still did not want to live. The angel said I cannot let you die. This is my job. The angel let him choose another life. The life he chooses was the opposite of his real life. But when he went home no one knew him. He didn’t exist. He was scared and he went to the angel and asked for his life back. Since then he appreciated the life he had and because of that his problems were no longer problems. This story always brings calm to me.
I look outside and see the sun is bright. The evergreen trees are green; I see a tiny early SPring flower just come up from the ground. I suddenly feel energy and feel good. This reminds me of a cartoon called The Care Bears. When the bears are happy they sing “I can see again. I can sing. I can jump” I am reminded of that feeling of enjoying life that I have forgotten. This topic helped me to shift my mind to a different way of thinking. Really feeling good comes from the inside and this is Something Good That Has Happened To Me. |
