My name is Niruben Keshwala I am from India and have come to stay in America. From Sep 2006. I did not know English at all. I could not read. write or talk in English so I got help from Literacy Volunteers Valley Shore They sent me a teacher named Debra to help me learn English. At first it was very hard for me to learn English. She teaches me for 2-3 hrs once a week. She brings books. Pictures and gives examples for me to undeshand the English language It took me a longtime to learn English She take me for rides and we go to restaunt to have dinners now that I know English. I work at T. J. Maxx full time. I also work part time evening and weekends at Liz Clairborne. I have made many friends at my work place. I do not know how to drive. my aunt takes me to work and brings me back home.

     My wish is to learn how to drive so that I can get my drivings liscence. Also my other wish is to get U.S.A citizenship. If I get both my drivings liscence and my citizenship I can go to school to learn more. I want to learn to become a nurse. I want to thank my volunteers and my teacher Debra for helping me to learn English and. help me stand on my feet.
