To apply, simply fill out an application and either drop it off, or mail it to the LVVS office, located at 61 Goodspeed Drive, Westbrook, CT 06498.
Volunteer Descriptions:
Tutor
Requires completion of training in English as a Second Language
and/or Basic Literacy
Special Event Volunteer
One time or short term opportunities to assist with fundraising events.
Office/ Mailing Help
One-time opportunities to help with small projects. Our office staff is always
in need of support. Office Volunteers are present in the office when the staff
is not. Work to be done includes mailings, filing, and many other clerical jobs.
There is no minimum time requirement, so you can volunteer as much or as little as you'd like.
Book Sale
Volunteers are needed to work our book sales in our office held Friday afternoons and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. Again, there is no minimum time requirement.
Board of Directors
Community connections and ability to assist in the governance of the organization.
Elected by the Board of Directors.
